The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) is a globally recognized credential that validates a professional’s expertise in project management. The PMI outlines a rigorous certification process for PMP candidates which includes an exam, experience requirements, and education/training requirements. The current version of the exam is based on the PMBOK Guide Sixth Edition. The exam covers five domains initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, and closing.
